I’ve been in plenty of toy aisles, collector shops, and “we’ve got some LEGO over here” corners. Bricksville Edmond was different because it had something I don’t remember seeing anywhere else around here: a way to make custom LEGO pieces for your sets.
That was the hook for me.
Bricksville Edmond is a LEGO-focused buy, sell and trade shop in Edmond, Oklahoma, inside The Kelly Center on South Kelly Avenue. It is not the same thing as an official LEGO Store at the mall. This feels more like a builder’s room, part resale shop, part collector stop, part “I need one very specific piece and I’m tired of digging through bins at home.”
The custom piece option is what stopped me first. If you’ve ever built a set and thought, “This needs one more weirdly specific detail,” you understand why that matters. LEGO people are particular. A printed tile, a figure accessory, a part that fits the idea in your head, that stuff can take a build from close enough to exactly right.
I’m not going to pretend I know every technical detail of the process from one visit. What I can say is that Bricksville had a custom LEGO piece option available, and for local builders, that is more interesting than another shelf of boxed sets.
There are boxed sets too, of course. Bricksville is built around the bigger LEGO ecosystem: new sets, used sets, loose parts, minifigures, and the kind of inventory that makes collectors slow down and start scanning instead of browsing. That’s the difference between a regular toy section and a LEGO resale shop. At a place like this, the small stuff matters.
A single minifigure can be the reason someone walks in. Same with a retired set, a missing instruction book, or a part you only know by shape because the name sounds like something invented by a patent attorney.
The Edmond location also connects to Bricksville’s wider operation in the OKC metro. Bricksville has been known for LEGO buy, sell, and trade in Oklahoma City, and the Edmond shop gives north metro folks a closer stop without having to make the I-240 run. That alone is useful if you’re in Edmond, Deer Creek, Guthrie, north OKC, or anywhere along that stretch where “I’ll just run across town” can turn into half a day.
The Kelly Center location makes sense too. It sits near South Kelly and the 2nd Street / Edmond Road area, which is already a normal errands-and-shopping part of Edmond. This is the kind of stop you can work into a Saturday without making a full event out of it, though if you bring a kid who likes LEGO, good luck keeping it quick.
Bricksville also offers birthday party packages through its website, with guided LEGO activities and a private party room. That tracks. This is the sort of place where a birthday party would be less about balloons and more about keeping ten kids happily locked onto a build for an hour. Honestly, that’s not a bad party strategy.
What I liked most is that Bricksville Edmond gives LEGO fans a place to be specific. Big-box stores are fine when you want whatever current sets are on the shelf. Bricksville is more useful when you’re hunting, building, replacing, collecting, or trying to make a set feel like yours.
And that custom piece setup is the part I kept thinking about after I left. Not because every person needs it, but because the people who do need it will know exactly why it’s cool.
