The thing about High 5 Retro Guys is that you think you have seen the whole store, then another hallway shows up.

I first ran across them years ago when they were operating as a vendor inside Amazing Action Comics. Back then, it already felt like they had a clear lane: toys, collectibles, nostalgia, the kind of stuff that makes grown adults suddenly remember exactly which action figure they lost in 1994.

Now High 5 Retro Guys has its own standalone shop at 405 N Meridian Avenue in Oklahoma City, and the move makes sense the second you walk in. The place is big. Their own site describes it as more than 10,000 square feet, and it feels like it.

Calling it a toy store is technically true, but it undersells the experience. This is more of a pop culture maze, with themed rooms and shelves that keep pulling you deeper into some very specific corner of your childhood.
The store keeps going

What I appreciated most was the layout. A lot of collectibles shops can turn into one long glass-case squeeze, where everything is valuable, fragile, and slightly stressful to browse. High 5 Retro Guys feels more relaxed than that.
The rooms are organized enough that you can actually follow your own interests. Star Wars has its space. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles gets room to breathe. Power Rangers, professional wrestling, Hot Wheels, LEGO, music memorabilia, cards, horror, anime, and vintage toys all show up in one form or another.

Inventory at a place like this is always changing, so I would not treat any one visit as a permanent catalog. That is also part of the fun. You are not walking through a museum exhibit. You are digging through a living collector shop where the next shelf might have something you forgot existed.
And yes, there are Funko Pops. A lot of them.
For Funko Pop collectors, this is easily the best selection I have personally found in Oklahoma. That is not me pretending I have audited every shelf in the state. It is just the honest reaction after standing in front of rows and rows of Pops from all kinds of franchises and thinking, “Well, this is going to take a minute.”

What stood out
The best part of High 5 Retro Guys is that it works for different kinds of people.

If you are a serious collector, there is enough here to slow you down. You can actually hunt. You can check corners, scan shelves, compare versions, and look for that one missing piece that has been annoying you for years.
If you are not that serious, it still works. You can wander through and get hit with the kind of memory that only old packaging can trigger. A Ninja Turtle face. A wrestling figure. A Hot Wheels car that looks suspiciously like one you launched off a couch cushion ramp. That kind of thing.

I also like that the store does not feel like it is only chasing whatever is currently hot. There are newer collectibles, sure, but the retro side is the backbone. It has that Oklahoma collector-shop energy where somebody clearly cares about the old stuff, not just the high-dollar stuff.
High 5 Retro Guys is the kind of place where you should give yourself more time than you think you need. A quick stop can turn into a slow lap through half a dozen fandoms, and then you realize there is another room you missed.

That is a good problem.
