The thing that got me at Just Wafflin’ was not just the waffle. It was the three warm syrups sitting there like I had been handed a breakfast assignment.
Just Wafflin’ is a locally owned breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot at 211 E. McElroy Road in Stillwater, over in Bradford Plaza. The name sounds simple enough, but the menu does not stop at a basic waffle with butter and syrup. They build waffles into sweet plates, savory plates, chicken and waffles, full breakfast combos, and a few ideas that sound slightly unreasonable until they land on the table.
I decided to cover both sides of the morning. I ordered the Elvis and steak and eggs, which is a pretty efficient way to avoid choosing between dessert-for-breakfast and a real breakfast plate.
The Elvis handled the sweet side. The steak and eggs gave me the savory side. Together, they made the point of the place pretty quickly: Just Wafflin’ is not asking you to treat waffles as one thing.

The Syrups Matter Here
Just Wafflin’ brings out three syrup options, and this is one of those rare times when I think you should actually try all three before committing.

There is the classic maple syrup. There is a cinnamon-vanilla syrup. Then there is the house Waffle Sauce, which is the one that stands out.
The Waffle Sauce is richer and creamier than regular syrup, almost somewhere between syrup and icing. That sounds like it could be too much, but on the right bite it makes complete sense. The cinnamon-vanilla leans sweeter and warmer. Maple is still maple, and there is nothing wrong with knowing when to stay classic.
The correct scientific procedure is to rotate between all three until the waffle disappears. I do not make the rules. I just respect breakfast research.

More Than Sweet Waffles
The menu is broader than the name lets on. You can go full sweet with toppings, but Just Wafflin’ also works in savory combinations, breakfast plates, and chicken and waffles.

That is why the Elvis and steak and eggs combo worked so well for me. One plate scratched the “I want something fun” itch. The other one felt like a proper breakfast, with enough protein and salt to keep things from turning into a syrup festival.
Chicken and waffles is also one of the obvious moves here, especially if you like the sweet-and-salty side of breakfast. The restaurant also plays around with bigger topping ideas, including things like peanut butter mousse and Bananas Foster-style combinations.
It is a waffle shop, yes. But it is not just a dessert waffle shop.

From Food Truck to Stillwater Breakfast Stop
The part I liked most after digging into the place was the food-truck story.
Founder Jessica Foster started Just Wafflin’ as a food truck before it became a permanent Stillwater restaurant. By 2016, the storefront was already being talked about as a new local waffle spot, with people pointing out the homemade Waffle Sauce and warm maple syrup even then.
That history gives the current restaurant a little more weight. This was not a big polished concept dropped into town by a restaurant group. It was a small idea that worked well enough from a truck to earn a real home.
Nearly a decade later, Just Wafflin’ is still doing the thing: made-to-order waffles, sweet and savory plates, breakfast and lunch hours, and that trio of syrups on the table.
If you go, show up hungry. Get something savory. Get something a little ridiculous. Try the syrups before you decide which one is yours.
And do not skip the Waffle Sauce.
