I went into Bee Healthy Cafe thinking “smoothie stop,” which is fair enough. The name, the bee branding, the bright health-cafe setup, all of it points you toward something blended, cold, and probably involving fruit.
But the Edmond location is more useful than that.
Bee Healthy Cafe on North Santa Fe is one of those fast-casual places that makes sense when you want lunch but do not want to commit to a burger, fries, and the rest of that afternoon nap. The menu stretches past smoothies into acai bowls, wraps, melts, sandwiches, salads, breakfast items, coffee drinks, and a handful of sides that make the place feel more like a real lunch counter than a one-note juice bar.

That matters in Edmond, where quick food is not hard to find, but quick food that does not leave you feeling like you made a gas station decision sometimes takes a little more looking.

More Than a Smoothie Counter
Bee Healthy Cafe is an Oklahoma-founded brand with roots going back to Health Nut Cafe, which started in 2007. The company’s own story connects the early menu to Cindy and Amir Alavi building recipes around stress reduction, fitness, and healthier eating after Cindy’s Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis.

That backstory helps explain the tone of the place. It is not trying to be a precious health temple where every order requires a lecture. It is built more around the idea that people are busy, hungry, and still might want something with vegetables in it.

The smoothie side is the obvious draw. You will find fruit-heavy options, acai bowls, refreshers, and coffee drinks, including specialty coffee items that fit the “grab it and keep moving” crowd. The menu also uses the bee theme without beating you over the head with it, including honey in some drinks.
Where it gets more practical is the food menu. Wraps, quinoa bowls, salads, breakfast sandwiches, melts, and sides make this an easy stop for a work lunch, a post-gym meal, or one of those Edmond errand loops where you suddenly realize coffee alone was not a meal.
The printed menu also labels vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free items, which I appreciate because nobody wants to play ingredient detective while standing at the counter.
What Stood Out
The thing I kept thinking about is that Bee Healthy Cafe fills a very specific Oklahoma gap: lighter fast food that still feels like food.
You can get a Greek wrap, a chicken salad plate with hummus, a spicy club melt, hemp heart queso, smoothies, or something breakfast-y without making the whole stop complicated. There are also sides like hummus, fruit, chips and salsa, veggies and ranch, quinoa tabouli, pasta salad, coconut curry stew, and vegan cookies.
That range is what makes the place work. A smoothie-only shop is nice when you want a smoothie. Bee Healthy Cafe gives you enough menu to bring along someone who wants lunch, someone who wants coffee, and someone who is just trying to eat like they have a little sense today.
The Edmond Santa Fe location sits in a retail center at 1501 N Santa Fe Ave, Suite 156, near other everyday errand stops. It is not a downtown wander-around kind of place. It is a practical strip-center stop, which honestly fits the concept. You park, order, eat something decent, and get back to whatever Edmond has you doing next.
There has also been an Edmond Center Court location listed online, but the North Santa Fe cafe is the one to look for as the regular Edmond stop.
One note before you make a special drive: the posted hours have not been completely consistent across Bee Healthy Cafe’s location and ordering pages, so check the current hours directly if timing matters. Lunch, smoothie runs, and coffee stops are a lot less fun when the door is locked.
Who Should Go
Bee Healthy Cafe makes sense for Edmond folks who want a lighter lunch without pretending lunch is just a handful of almonds and optimism.
Go if you want smoothies, acai bowls, wraps, salads, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, or an easy place with clearly marked vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. It is also a good option when one person wants something fresh and another person still wants a warm sandwich or melt.
It is not trying to be the fanciest health-food place in Oklahoma. That is probably why it works. It is quick, approachable, and broad enough to be useful on a normal weekday.
